Who we are
ML Design is run by Stephen McDowell through ML Talent Solutions. This notice covers the personal information you share with ML Design. You can contact Stephen at stephen@mltalentsolutions.com about your information or any privacy question.
What we collect and why
When you contact us, we collect your name, email address and message. You can also give us your business name, current website and the package you are interested in. We use this information to reply, understand what you need, prepare a quote and, if you go ahead, arrange and deliver the work. Please do not include passwords, payment-card details or sensitive personal information in an enquiry.
When you ask us to take steps towards a contract with you personally, or we need information to deliver that contract, our lawful basis is contract. If you contact us on behalf of a company or another organisation, we rely on our legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries and managing that business relationship. We also rely on legitimate interests to keep the website and enquiry service working securely. Where records must be kept to meet a legal requirement, we rely on legal obligation for that use.
Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to a mailing list.
The services that process your information
Our enquiry form uses Formspree. When you send the form, Formspree processes and stores the submission and delivers an email notification to us. If you email us directly, your message is handled by the email services used by you and ML Talent Solutions. We use these services to receive, store and respond to your enquiry.
The website host and services used to secure the site and form may process technical information such as your IP address, browser details and request times to deliver the website, prevent spam and investigate faults or security issues. We may also disclose information where required by law.
Formspree operates infrastructure in the United States, so submitting the form involves processing outside the UK. Formspree states that it uses Standard Contractual Clauses in its role as a data processor. Its privacy and security information explain its processing and safeguards:

Our other service providers may also process information outside the UK. You can contact us for information about the providers and transfer safeguards relevant to your enquiry.
How long we keep information
Our retention period for enquiries that do not become projects is 12 months from our last contact. We review and remove these records unless there is a specific reason to keep them longer, such as an unresolved complaint, dispute or legal obligation.
If an enquiry becomes a project, we retain relevant correspondence and project records for as long as needed to deliver and support the agreed services, meet applicable accounting or legal requirements, and establish or respond to claims. We decide the period by considering the type of record, when the work and any ongoing service end, and any applicable retention requirement. Service providers may retain technical or security records under their own policies.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not add advertising or analytics scripts, marketing cookies or browser storage for your enquiry. The website host and Formspree may process technical information to operate and secure their services.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access or correct your personal information, have it deleted, restrict its use, or receive a portable copy. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Some rights have exceptions, including where we need records to meet a legal obligation or deal with a claim.
